Oman`s Muscat Municipality Offering Investment Contracts

Oman`s Muscat Municipality has announced a wide range of investment opportunities in the Wilayats of Bausher and Seeb. The available contracts include important logistics and recreational infrastructure projects.

Investment Opportunities To Develop Recreational Park Facilities

These include upgrading existing facilities in Al Khoudh public park in Seeb, to be developed under a 20% commercial use framework. The contract duration is 20 years with a 24-month grace period for rent.

The first project is located on Plot Number 590, spread over 16,279 square metres and overlooks Al Khoudh wadi. Its planned components include three padel courts, a football field, an exploratory play area for children, open theatre and seating terraces. Further facilities will include walking and cycling paths, cafés, restaurants and a dedicated food truck zone and 57 parking spaces. The second park project is being offered on Plot Number 787, covering 80,000 square metres. Accordingly, this site will become a recreational landmark and includes a family BBQ area, children’s play area and book camp. Other features will offer a zip-line, walking and cycling paths, designated kiosk areas as well as car parking spaces.

Development of Truck Parking Area

Further opportunities offer the development of a truck parking facility on a 120,000 square metre site in Al Misafa, Bausher. The facility will be located on Plot Number 1578, with condition that at least 80% is used for parking. The proposed project includes a management office, rest areas, restrooms, maintenance and washing centre, parts sales outlets and a café. The contract duration is 20 years and offers a 12-month grace period on rent.

Upgrading And Modernising of Abbatoir

In addition the municipality is offering a 10,000 square metre site on Plot Number 967, in Al Misafa, Bausher. The contract is for the construction, management and operations of a modern abbatoir. Accordingly, the facility requires the building of internal pens, commercial shops, restaurants, cafés, a vehicle wash, warehouses and staff accommodation. Notably, the contract duration is 50 years with a five-year grace period for rent payment.
