Omans Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones (OPAZ) recently consolidated its investor services by unifying the service pathway, enabling investors to undertake economic activities across all areas under its jurisdiction. As a result, this streamlined process will allow investors to access all services, incentives and privileges offered by OPAZ through a single registration when initiating their projects. Furthermore, the updated process launched in conjunction with the unification of service procedures and fees across all special economic zones and free zones under the Authority’s supervision. Consequently, the initiative will encourage and increase investment in economic and free zones including industrial cities.
Omans One Stop Shop
Most importantly, the unified service pathway forms part of an integrated service system offered by OPAZ through the One-Stop Shop. This platform allows both international and Oman based investors to submit investment applications, open commercial registrations and obtain the necessary licenses electronically.
Significantly, the unified pathway now offers unrivalled flexibility and convenience for investors. In addition, it has enabled them to expand their economic activities under the Authority’s supervision without the need to obtain a separate commercial registration for each zone. Moreover, it has reduced administrative and financial burdens on companies, allowing them to focus on growth and expanding their buinesses.

Additionally, the unified service pathway has contributed to OPAZ`s ability to streamline commercial registration procedures and collect accurate data on economic activities in different zones. Furthermore, land selection and business licensing can be completed electronically within just one day.
