Oman Ministry of Energy and Minerals announced that five oil and gas concession areas are being offered for competition among petroleum companies. Areas 12, 16, 55, 42 and 45 are distributed across a wide geographical area with significant geological potential according to the Oman News Agency.

Further aims include ensuring sustainability while growing the national economy in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. The Ministry of Energy and Minerals noted the application process undertakes several stages before companies can submit proposals through the designated platform. Registration will continue until 30 September 2026, with results announced following the completion of the technical and financial evaluations. The Ministry invited companies interested in participating to review the tender details through the tender website via the QR Code.
