The seventh meeting of the Kazakhstan-Qatar Joint Higher Committee was held recently with participation from senior representatives of both nations. The event was hosted in Kazakhstan`s capital Astana and featured the Republic`s Ministries for Foreign Trade Affairs and National Economy.
Officials Emphasise The Importance Of Joint Higher Committee
Officials underscored the depth and resilience of bilateral relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State of Qatar. In addition, they emphasised the role of the Joint Committee as a pivotal platform for advancing strategic relations and deepening partnerships across a range of vital sectors. Accordingly, both sides discussed cooperation across areas including trade, investment, finance, agriculture, transport and logistics, higher education and healthcare. Additional sectors include scientific research, information technology, artificial intelligence, labour, tourism, culture, regional cooperation, environmental issues and climate change.
Further high level sessions explored investment opportunities and incentives in both the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State of Qatar. Organisations including the Ministry of National Economy, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund represented Kazakhstan. Qatar`s delegation included the Ministry of State for Foreign Trade Affairs. Following the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular dialogue and further developing promising areas of partnership.
Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry Announces New Ambassador For Qatar
In corresponding news the Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry announced the incoming Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Qatar. The new Ambassador recently presented his credentials to the Qatar Ministry of State for Foreign Affairs. Both nations are committed to further strengthening economic relations, increasing future prospects of bilateral cooperation and implementing mutually beneficial agreements.
