Saudi Arabia Ministry of Foreign Affairs held extensive talks with their Chinese counterparts recently at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Beijing. During the meeting, both countries reviewed strategic relations and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various fields.
Saudi Arabia And China Developing Trade And Investment Ties
The ministers discussed ways to enhance common interests, strengthen economic, trade, and investment cooperation and enhance partnerships in vital sectors. These include energy, industry, supply chains and advanced technologies, in alignment with the Saudi Vision 2030. Further discussions examined ways of contributing to developing mutual investments, increasing trade exchange and exploring new horizons for cooperation.
The Kingdom Is Fast Emerging As Top Chinese Tourist Destination
In associated news, Saudi Arabia is fast becoming a top destination for Chinese tourists according to a tourism white paper. The World Trade Market report names Saudi Arabia as one of the fastest-growing MENA destinations for Chinese outbound tourism. This development aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to reach 150 million annual visitors, driven by infrastructure and tourism investment. The Kingdom is continuing to invest in connectivity, visitor experiences, hospitality and cultural offerings. Accordingly, Saudi Arabia is enhancing its “China-Ready” offering employing Mandarin airport signage, improved payment systems and expanded flights. Importantly, air connectivity has surged, with flights between Greater China and Saudi Arabia up 91% in 2025 versus 2024.
Chinese leisure spending in the Middle East is projected to rise 130% between 2024 and 2030. Its travellers increasingly prioritise immersive cultural experiences, luxury stays, family travel and digitally enabled journeys, including safe and convenient destinations.
