Qatar And UAE Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Qatar and United Arab Emirates recently concluded the seventh session of the Joint Supreme Committee for Cooperation in Abu Dhabi. The meeting reaffirmed deep-rooted historical ties, alignment of visions and integration of interests between the two countries.

Qatar And UAE Discussed Ways To Expand Bilateral Partnerships

The two sides discussed ways to fortify integration and cooperation, shared political will while expanding bilateral partnerships. Furthermore, they examined ways of serving the interests of both nations and their people, supporting Gulf cooperation and enhancing regional security and stability.

In terms of economics, both sides agreed stronger integration can enhance global competitiveness, diversify growth sources and support sustainable development. They underscored the need to continue improving the business environment, encouraging mutual investments and increased partnerships between public/private sectors. The sides welcomed progress in financial and investment cooperation, including efforts to draft a memorandum of understanding between finance ministries.In the trade sector, both sides emphasised strengthening cooperation between chambers of commerce and industry and encouraging reciprocal trade delegations. Further goals include promoting investment opportunities, showcasing national products and exchanging economic data to facilitate flow of trade and investment.

Both Sides Determine Key Future Drivers Of Productivity

Key sectors targeted as future drivers of productivity include artificial intelligence, digital transformation, cloud computing and cybersecurity. They also discussed opportunities to enhance logistical connectivity and integration in air, maritime and land transport to facilitate trade flows. In food security and supply chain sustainability, both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise. Also addressed was cooperation in health, labour, education, culture, sports, media, Islamic affairs, social development and humanitarian work.

Qatar Free Zones Authority Meet With Panama To Discuss Trade

In associated news, Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) recently met with Panama to discuss cooperation efforts in trade and investment. In the meeting, officials agreed to exchange expertise and knowledge related to these fields. The QFZ also showcased available investment opportunities and attractive benefits while highlighting Qatar’s advanced logistics infrastructure.
