Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) recently announced over 800 new firms registered on its platform from January to March 2026. This translates into annual growth of 57% in Quarter 1 this year compared against the same period in 2025.
Increase In Registered Firms Reflects Business Confidence In Qatar
The Qatar Financial Centre revealed this increase reflects continued confidence in the robustness of the business environment in the country. It also confirms that the QFC has become one of the region`s leading financial and commercial centres. Contributing to such confidence, Fitch Ratings recently reaffirmed Qatar’s sovereign credit rating of ‘AA’ with a stable outlook. The assessment highlights Qatar`s strong financial position, high national income and substantial overseas investment portfolio alongside predicted favourable long-term growth.
Qatar Climbing Up 14 Places In Global Financial Centres Index
Additionally, Doha’s standing in the Global Financial Centres Index marked strong improvement, climbing 14 places to rank third in MENA. It`s rating also increased by four points, indicating enhanced overall competitiveness.
