Oman and France`s new Joint Business Council met to review mutual investment opportunities and enhance economic cooperation between private sectors. The meeting at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) was attended by officials along with business council members.
Oman Chamber of Commerce Supporting French Companies
Discussions focused on strategic objectives, governance framework, resource requirements and upcoming events, aimed at deepening bilateral trade and investment. It was noted that the council is committed to supporting French companies in the Omani market while encouraging Omani firms to expand into France. Notably, the council aims to transform economic relations into practical partnerships and tangible projects that benefit both nations. Recently, mutual economic relations have experienced steady growth and collaboration based on innovation and sustainability will result in long-term partnerships.
Oman Participating In Meetings With The Netherlands And Russia
In associated news, representatives of the Netherlands and Oman recently met and discussed ways of enhancing existing bilateral relations and joint cooperation. Furthermore, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) concluded its visit to the Moscow–Oman Business Forum, where it participated in the BRICS Urban Future Forum. The visit to the Russian Federation aimed to strengthen economic and investment cooperation between both countries. The delegation was briefed on start-ups and projects in fintech, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Members also visited Russian companies and factories in the fields of advanced technology, mining and logistics to explore potential cooperation.
In a separate engagement, the delegation held talks with the Moscow Chamber of Commerce. Both sides reiterated the importance of regular exchanges as Oman and Russia prepare to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations. In addition, Russian companies presented information about their companies and activities and highlighted potential collaboration with Omani businesses.
