Most importantly, Qatar is eager to welcome German companies and stands ready to facilitate investments, whether independently or in collaboration with Qatari business leaders. Furthermore, it was reiterated that Qatari investments in Germany are vital for both nations’ economic growth and job creation.
Trade and Investment Relations on Upward Trajectory
Current trade and investment relations between Qatar and Germany are on an upward trajectory, bolstered by a mutual vision to enhance economic cooperation. This collaboration intends to create new partnership opportunities between the business communities of both nations. Germany, recognized as the largest economy in Europe, serves as a gateway to approximately 450 million consumers. The German government is also launching an initiative to coordinate efforts among major companies and financial institutions to cultivate a robust financial center aimed at attracting startups. They have set an ambitious investment target of around QAR 45.79 billion (USD 12.58 billion) by 2030.
Qatar`s Third Strategic Initiative
Qatar’s third strategic initiative is particularly focused on transitioning to a digital economy while attracting cumulative foreign investments across various sectors. The State is targetting an impressive QAR 365 billion (USD100 billion) by 2030. This presents a significant opportunity for German firms with large-scale enterprises.
