The Sultanate`s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion recently announced five strategic Oman investment opportunities in Dhofar Governorate. The projects are accessible using the “Invest in Oman” digital platform and are valued at approximately OMR 1.95 billion (USD 5.06 billion). The portal enables investors to review details, size and potential of available projects while facilitating direct connections with government entities.
Oman Investment Opportunities Available Across Range Of Projects
The Oman investment opportunities are coordinated with Dhofar Municipality, the Environment Authority, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. As a result, they include a range of projects across urban and real estate development, eco-tourism and marine tourism.
Among the largest Oman investment opportunies is the Future Salalah City worth OMR 1.9 billion (USD 4.93 billion). It is a 10 kilometre integrated urban development combining residential, commercial, healthcare, educational, recreational and hospitality facilities. Another major project is Sahool Al-Rathath, an integrated urban development planned for the Atin area in the Wilayat of Salalah. The project covers 470,000 square metres and is worth OMR 40 million (USD 103.91 million) including OMR 15 million (USD 38.96 million) of government investment. Accordingly, it encompasses hospitality, retail, entertainment and business facilities, combined with public spaces and infrastructure.
In the ecotourism sector, the Botanical Memory Garden at Razat Plain is being offered. Spread over 1.5 million square metres, the project has an estimated investment value of OMR 4 million (USD 10.39 million). Further Oman investment opportunities include an eco-lodge and visitor centre at Khor Sanaq in Hasik, Wilayat of Sadah. The project carries a value of OMR 3.9 million (USD 10.13 million) and requires an eco-lodge, visitor centre, wellness experiences and outdoor activities. Moreover, in marine tourism, a diving club in the Hallaniyat Islands is offered worth OMR 1.5 million (USD 3.89 million).
