Saudi Arabia’s entertainment sector welcomed over 89 million visitors in 2025, reflecting an impressive increase in activity and growth. Accordingly, the sector has witnessed a significant increase in company formation in Saudi Arabia. GEA Releases Recent Report Detailing Regulatory Affairs
The latest figures were revealed by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) in its annual report for the regulatory affairs sector. It highlighted that the sector hosted 1,690 events, with the successful participation of 6,778 companies during 2025. According to the report, total number of issued licenses reached 6,490, demonstrating the rise in company formation in Saudi Arabia. In addition, 472 entertainment destinations were licensed during the year, compared to 422 destinations in 2024, representing a 12% increase. Meanwhile, the total number of active entertainment destinations reached 975, compared with 513 destinations in 2024.
Visitor Experience Reached 95 Percent Satisfaction Levels
In terms of compliance and experience quality indicators, the report showed 92% investor compliance with GEA regulations across all licensed activities. It also revealed 95% for licensed entertainment events, while the percentage of licensed entertainment destinations reached 93%. Moreover, with regards the oversight and violation reduction marker, the report noted increased investor awareness and higher compliance levels. Accordingly the Authority conducted 92,025 inspection visits across all administrative regions of the Kingdom. With regard to visitor experience measurement the overall satisfaction index for entertainment activities covered within the guidelines reached 95%. Notably, over 9,400 field survey visits were conducted across various entertainment activities as part of ongoing monitoring and evaluation efforts. Within the classification framework, the number of investors reached 1,132 investors underlining the increase in company formation in Saudi Arabia.
