Saudi`s non-oil trade surplus with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries recorded annual growth of 119% y-o-y reaching SAR 11.9 billion (USD 3.7 billion). This represents SAR 6.5 billion (USD 1.73 billion) increase from Q2 2024 according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Total Value Of Non-Oil Trade Worth SAR 54.3 Billion
Figures from GASTAT`s International Trade Bulletin 2025 recorded total value of non-oil trade at SAR 54.3 billion (USD 14.48 billion). This figure is including re-exports, between Saudi Arabia and GCC member states and marks a year-on-year increase of 25.2%. Accordingly, this is equivalent to an additional SAR 10.9 billion (USD 2.91 billion) up from SAR 43.4 billion (USD 11.57 billion) in Q2 2024. Notably, the value of total non-oil merchandise exports, including re-exports, increased by 35.7% during the second quarter of 2025. It reached a total of SAR 33.1 billion (USD 8.83 billion), an increase of SAR 8.7 billion (USD 2.32 billion).
National non-oil exports stood at SAR 8.9 billion (USD 23.73 billion), showing solid annual growth of 4.3%. Meanwhile, re-exports recorded robust growth of 52.4%, reaching SAR 24.3 billion (USD 6.48 billion) compared to SAR 15.9 billion (USD 4.24 billion) in the same quarter last year. Additionally, Saudi`s merchandise imports from GCC countries increased, amounting to SAR 21.2 billion (USD 5.65 billion), up 11.7% from 2024.
United Arab Emirates Ranks As Top Trading Partner
The United Arab Emirates emerged as the Kingdom`s top trading partner, with figures reaching SAR 40.4 billion (USD 10.77 billion). Oman ranked second, with non-oil trade amounting to SAR 5.3 billion (USD 1.41 billion) or 9.7% of the total. Bahrain followed in third place with SAR 4.7 billion (USD 1.25 billion). Kuwait and Qatar recorded trade volumes of SAR 2.4 billion (USD 640 million) and SAR 1.6 billion (USD 430 million) placing fourth and fifth.
