Qatar`s Ministry of Commerce and Industry revealed 12,449 non-Qatari entities were established in 2025 – a 600% increase compared against 2024. The upturn emphasises the Ministry`s success in simplifying procedures, thereby considerably enhancing the ease of doing business in Qatar.
Government Working Hard To Advance Ease Of Doing Business In Qatar
The year 2025 reflected investor confidence and reinforced the attractiveness of Qatar’s investment climate. Accordingly, the increased company formation figures were also encouraged by the significant development of Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s services. In order to further attract FDI, Qatar is also improving procedural efficiency in line with the Third National Development Strategy. Likewise the country`s pioneering digital transformation has resulted in a huge improvement in the ease of doing business in Qatar.
Additional Single Window Platform Services Enhancing Operability
Meanwhile stronger performance indicators have been utilised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry who introduced the Single Window platform last year. It revealed that it had considerably enhanced its online options resulting in 26 new services being developed. As a result, total number of transactions submitted through the platform reached 239,593, of which 93% were submitted electronically. This reflects the Ministry`s efforts to improve service delivery through digital transformation thereby enhancing the ease of doing business in Qatar.
The improved Single Window platform continues to support investors seeking to establish and maintain their business throughout different phases. Accordingly its services can be utilised early on in the planning stage and continue until an entity is fully established. Furthermore, it offers the convenience of digital government approval and business registration therefore improving the ease of doing business in Qatar. Ministry of Commerce and Industry surveys revealed that customer satisfaction levels for the electronic application service reached 95% during the fourth quarter.
