Qatar Free Zones Authority and Qatar Foundation (QF) signed an agreement establishing a strategic framework for cooperation on climate change and sustainable development. It aims to advance Qatar’s climate change awareness and capacity through climate change education, research and community engagement projects.
Initiative Will Improve Community Engagement In Sustainability
The contract was signed by Qatar Free Zones Authority and QF at the Business Innovation Park – Ras Bufontas FreeZone. It establishes a collaboration through Qatar Foundation’s existing flagship sustainability platforms, including its Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future. Furthermore it will also include the Sustainability Academy at Green Island – Qatar Foundation’s community recycling hub. The collaboration will support applied research, policy dialogue, capacity-building and community engagement initiatives including climate resilience and sustainable development programmes. Subsequently, it will be implemented through agreed work plans, coordination mechanisms and reporting to ensure effective delivery and measurable outcomes.

The Qatar Free Zones Authority and QF partnership marks a significant step towards a sustainable future in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
