The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning revealed the launch of five new Oman Real Estate investment opportunities, adding to the 20 previously declared. The announcement was made at the 21st edition of the Oman Real Estate, Design and Build Conference and Exhibition 2026.
Oman Real Estate Projects Moving From Planning To Implementation
The staging of the exhibition aligned with the construction sectors progress as Oman Real Estate is undergoing rapid development. Accordingly, such progress marks a decisive shift from planning to implementation, thereby reflecting accelerating momentum. In addition, the event was aimed at enhancing investment attractiveness and supporting sustainable economic growth. During the event, several agreements and strategic partnerships were signed.
The conference was an integrated hub that brought together investors, developers and companies operating across the Oman Real Estate sector. It also featured specialised workshops and dialogue sessions designed to facilitate the exchange of expertise among local and international participants.
Real Estate Projects Positioning Sector As Key Economic Driver
Sultan Haitham City was showcased at the exhibition, reflecting Oman’s vision for future smart and sustainable urban communities. Spanning 15 million square metres, it`s been designed using modern principles prioritising quality of life, green spaces and integrated services. Accordingly, residents are expected to receive their housing units during the final quarter this year, highlighting the project’s implementation progress. Importantly, such integrated urban developments significantly contribute to generating employment opportunities across sectors linked to construction, infrastructure and services.
The Sultanate`s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning is currently overseeing several future city developments, including almost completed Thuraya City. Additional Oman Real Estate projects include Salalah Future City and Sohar Future City. Furthermore, several landmark projects are being undertaken by the ministry, including Downtown Al Khuwair and Al Jabal Al Aali. These projects form a broader national development vision aimed at positioning the Oman Real Estate sector as key economic driver.
