Qatar and America recently convened at the Seventh Qatar-United States Strategic Dialogue in Washington DC. Participants included US officials and a high-level Qatari delegation comprising representatives from several Ministries and Investment institutions.
Strong Economic Partnership Based On Long Term Investment Plans
Both countries reiterated their strong economic partnership which is founded on firm political relations and close constructive ties. Notably, it was revealed that the volume of bilateral trade has reached QAR 107 billion (USD 29.6 billion) over the past five years. Importantly, these figures are achieved though long-term investment plans and economic exchange across a number of vital sectors. These include technology and artificial intelligence, innovation and advanced industries, aviation, energy and infrastructure. Furthermore, numerous topics were discussed, including enhancing bilateral investment flows, expanding cooperation in emerging technologies, developing digital and regulatory frameworks and improving trade. The conclusion of the session reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to continue joint efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership. Ways to advance economic, trade and investment cooperation were also discussed to serve mutual interests of both countries.
Qatar And Canada Discuss Enhancing Economic And Trade Relations
In associated news, Qatar Chamber recently met with the Canadian Embassy and discussed ways to enhance economic and trade relations. The meeting also explored prospects for cooperation between Qatari and Canadian companies in addition to reviewing investment incentives. Importantly, the countries enjoy close relations, demonstrated by the high presence of Canadian companies operating in Qatar in many sectors. There are lucrative investment opportunities for Canadian investors in Qatar, which provides an attractive investment environment, pioneering legislation and encouraging investment incentives. Conversely, many investment opportunities are available in Canada in agriculture, natural resources, technology, artificial intelligence, manufacturing, defence and aviation sectors.
