The accompanying delegation included CEOs and representatives of various Swedish companies operating across a variety of economic sectors. The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sectors and explored the investment climate and available opportunities. Discussions also addressed the role of the private sector in promoting mutual and joint investments and enhancing trade exchange. It was noted that Qatari-Swedish relations have grown remarkably, particularly in sectors including technology, innovation, renewable energy and healthcare. Moreover, the Qatari private sector is interested in strengthening partnerships with Sweden either through joint ventures or the exchange of expertise and modern technology.

The high level meeting discussed ways to enhance trade and economic relations between the two countries. Doha Hosts Qatar – Korea Artificial Intelligence Forum
In addition, Doha recently hosted the Qatar-Korea Artificial Intelligence Forum under the theme ‘Qatar-Korea Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence Innovations’. Importantly, Qatar`s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology promotes numerous initiatives, including the National AI Programme and National AI Center. Accordingly, they are reinforced by platforms including the Digital Incubation Centre, the TASMU Accelerator, Scale Now and SMEs Go Digital. Together, these initiatives build a connected ecosystem that has already empowered hundreds of startups and entrepreneurs. Over 50 AI-driven schemes will be deployed by 2029, with several projects currently ongoing, to integrate AI into everyday governance and drive economic growth. The forum offered a valuable chance to promote business-to-business collaboration and establish new channels of communication between both countries.
