Kazakhstan`s Finance and National Economy Ministries recently met to discuss business development with the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs. The meeting focused on business activity, sectoral and regional indicators and the Republic`s entrepreneurship sector. In addition participants discussed the preliminary results of tax reform a well as measures to ensure fair regulation of business entities.
Kazakhstan Reveals Strong Financial Growth In First Half Of 2026
The Finance Ministry reported that corporate income tax revenues to national budget increased 15.7% in the first half of 2026. It also revealed particularly strong growth in the financial and manufacturing sectors. Furthermore, it also noted that number of small and medium-sized businesses increased by 550,000 in the first half of 2026. This can partly be attributed to the legalisation of self-employed workers. The Atameken National Chamber presented numerous proposals on behalf of entrepreneurs and raised several issues concerning the business community. All participants explored ways to continue cooperation and improve government-business coordination in order to achieve sustainable economic growth. It was agreed that all parties will conduct monthly comprehensive analyses of the entrepreneurial sector across different industries and regions.
Kazakhstan`s Business Entities Have Grown 20.4% Since January 2026
In associated news, the National Economy Ministry announced that Kazakhstan`s business entities has grown 20.4% since January 2026. This reflects increased business activity and maintains the Republic`s positive dynamics while demonstrating resilience to external and internal economic changes. During the first six months the number of business entities reached 2.94 million – 500 thousand more on a year-on-year comparison. In addition, the total amount of private entrepreneurs and self-employed workers increased from 1.86 million to 2.35 million. The Ministry emphasised the figures reflect increased business environment transparency and the adaptation of business to modern economic conditions.
