National Manufacturing Strategy Adopting Greener Industrial Processes
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry are committed to realising Qatar National Vision 2030 through the ‘National Manufacturing Strategy 2024-2030’. In order to achieve this, it will adopt greener manufacturing processes to build an innovative Qatar industrial sector that preserves resources for future generations. In addition, by integrating the circular economy plan, the Ministry will incorporate environmental responsibility into economic growth and industrial expansion. Moreover, its goals can be fulfilled by building a high-value and diversified Qatar industrial sector that relies on advanced technology/innovation. Additional objectives include stimulating and significantly increasing the contribution of the private sector in driving growth to facilitate the transition.
Circular Economy Promoting Sustainable Use Of Resources
The Ministry noted the circular economy model promotes the continuous use of materials through recycling, reuse and resource recovery. Accordingly, factories produce goods using sustainable processes, consumers use the products and recyclable materials are returned to the production cycle instead of being discarded. As a result, by adopting such principles the resilience and competitiveness of Qatar industrial sector will be strengthened.
