Qatar Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced industrial sector investment reached QAR 248.4 billion (USD 68 billion) in Q2 2026. Its data showed increased business formation with 6,745 new commercial registrations recorded, a 6.6% rise compared with Q1 this year. The figures were announced during the second quarterly meeting to review the Ministry’s performance for 2026.

Qatar Ministry of Commerce and Industry also revealed indicators showed an increase in services provided through the Single Window platform. Accordingly, a total of 131,269 transactions were completed, showing an increase of 4% from Q1 2026, with 86% conducted electronically. Customer satisfaction with electronic services reached 93%, while satisfaction with services provided at government service centres stood at 96%. Fifteen services were developed, representing growth of 25% compared against Q1, helping to simplify customer procedures and improve service efficiency.
Significant Increase In Foreign Owned Companies During Q2
Qatar Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated 5,272 non-Qatari companies were established during Q2, a 60% increase compared against Q1. These figures reflect efforts to attract foreign investment as well as the opportunities and facilities available in Qatar’s business environment. The Ministry also continued its efforts to provide an environment which supports innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. As a result, during Q2 2026, 1,454 trademarks were registered, 130 patents were granted and 81 copyrights were registered. In addition, 11 new factories began production during Q2 with combined investments valued at QAR 253 million (USD 69.5 million). Qatar Ministry of Commerce and Industry noted private-sector exports increased to QAR 900 million (USD 24 million) representing 12.5% growth.
